Ice Carving Workshop

Want to learn how to carve ice like the pros?
Join professional ice carvers, Susanne and David for an ice carving workshop that will be held on Saturday, February 22 from 11:00am – 3:00pm at the Spirit Square in front of Recreation Services.
PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED!
This workshop is great for beginners with no experience or past participants who want to brush up on their skills. Registration is FREE but spaces are limited to 8 participants – 2 people per block – so contact Recreation Services at 250-997-5283 or recoffice@districtofmackenzie.ca to register.
Each participant and/or team will be provided with one ice block to sculpt with, and each block is a standard size of 40 x 20 x 10.
We ask participants to bring a pair of safety glasses while carving and to bring proper winter clothes and ensure to bring extra (mittens, toque, boots, pants, jacket, etc) as well as bringing a water bottle, snacks, or any additional items you may need.
