Owl Night at Mugaha Marsh Banding Station
September 8 @ 9:00 pm - 10:00 pm PDT
The Mackenzie Nature Observatory (MNO) is hosting an Owl Night at Mugaha Marsh Banding Station at 9:15PM. You do need to pre-register, do so ASAP as spots are limited!
Directions
From the Mackenzie post office, drive north through the town along Mackenzie Boulevard. Follow the highway out of town and at 7 km, from the post office, you will drive past the Gantahaz subdivision on your left and a fenced area, the shooting range, on your right. Here you leave the pavement (watch for pot holes) and continue on a gravel road crossing a bridge and at 9.5 km you reach a 4-way junction. Take the Parsnip West Forest Service Road to your right (2 o’clock), signs indicate logging activity on this main road so drive with care. (Do not take sharp right as this is Mugaha Mainline). The road crosses another bridge at 10.3 km. In ~150m passed the bridge take a left and follow this road to the marsh. Continue driving to the parking lot beside the banding lab approx. at 14km.
